LAKE ELSINORE — The Riverside County coroner’s office Saturday publicly identified the three women killed when two cars crashed head-on east of Lake Elsinore.
Tatiana Roach, 47, of Riverside was the sole occupant of a gold-colored Honda, the coroner and Riverside County sheriff’s officials said. Claudia Goldstein, 51, and Janee Briscoe, 31, both of Temecula have been in a silver Nissan sedan.
The eastbound Honda and westbound Nissan collided in the center of country Route 74 where the four-lane highway leaves the Lake Elsinore city limits and extends into the unincorporated community of Meadowbrook about 1:20 p.m. Friday, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Riverside County Fire Department crews reached the scene in a few minutes and extinguished the blaze, then proceeded to extricate the victims.
All three were declared dead at the scene, the coroner’s office said.
The cause of the collision wasn’t immediately known.
