What is a contingency fee?

How long will it take to finish my injury case?

I was in a car accident and did not have insurance, what can I do?
Proposition 213 prohibits any person who drives without insurance, or an owner of a car who was a passenger in a car, from receiving non out of pocket expenses such as pain & suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, and emotional distress.
All you will be entitled to is to have your out of pocket expenses paid, such as medical bills, property damage, loss of use of car, etc.
The only exception is if you were hit and injured by a person that is actually convicted of drunk driving. In this instance you will be able to get all damages that you would be entitled to if you were insured.

What is the time limit to file a personal injury case in California
(1) Generally the time limit to file a personal injury case in California is 2 years.
(2) If the case is against a Governmental Entity you have to file a claim against them within 6 months. If the claim is rejected within 45 days, you then have 6 months to file suit. If the claim is not rejected within 45 days in writing, it is deemed to be rejected in which case you have 2 years to file suit.
(3) Medical Malpractice cases have a 1 year time limit to file suit, and you must first give 90 days notice in writing of your intent to sue.
